A FABULOUS 1940S WALNUT AND OAK SIDEBOARD BY CHARLES DUDOUYT WITH TWO DOORS EACH WITH CENTRAL GEOMETRIC RELIEF DESIGN, BOTH DOORS WITH ORIGNAL KEY AND LOCKS. THESE SIT EITHER SIDE OF FOUR CENTRAL DRAWERS WITH CHARACTERISTIC DUDOUYT LARGE, SLIGHTLY OVERSIZED ROUND WOODEN KNOBS. THE TOP HAS A WONDERFUL MARQUETRY EFFECT MADE UP WITH 13CM( 5' ) SQUARE PIECES OF WALNUT. WHICH HAVE BEEN LAID TO CREATE AN UNUSUAL ZIG ZAG PATTERN. THE QUALITY OF THIS PIECES IS EXCEPTIONAL ALL THE WAY DOWN TO THE CURVED WOODEN FEET AND THE PATINA AND COLOUR IS RICH AND DEEP. THE CONDITION IS ALSO VERY GOOD WITH NO DAMAGE OR STRUCTURAL ISSUES. A VERY WELL CONSTRUCTED SOLID PIECE OF FURNITURE.
